Go Red for Stroke
The Nebraska Stroke Association is excited to announce our fall fundraiser, "Go Red for Stroke". NSA has been working hard to revamp and rebrand and are wanting to share with you the innovative projects we have been working on to serve Nebraskans that have been affected by stroke. As many of you are aware, stroke is the number one cause of disability in the country and NSA is dedicated to reducing the impact stroke has on the residents of Nebraska. We have created an interactive map that allows people to search stroke related services in their area by way of zip code or city. We are excited to share that we are developing a video resource library to provide short "bite sized" videos to both educate and inspire stroke survivors as well as their caregivers. We are working with the American Heart Association to create a peer to peer Stroke Navigator program that will pair volunteers with new stroke survivors to offer support and personal experience. And, lastly, we are going to be developing a virtual support group to reach people all across the state to provide a safe and supportive environment offering topics for discussion from experts in the stroke field.
